A Lewiston concrete contractor since 2017
I started Lewiston Concrete in 2017 after teaching myself concrete on my own place here in Lewiston and learning the rest on other people's job sites. We're licensed and insured, and we handle 16 kinds of concrete work, from driveways and patios to foundations, across 6 cities on both sides of the state line and the areas around them. I'm still the one who comes out to look at your job. You can read more about how we work.
What you get from our concrete crew
Concrete gets one shot, so the crew you hire should show you what goes under the slab, explain the joints before the pour and tell you plainly what concrete can't do.
The owner, start to finish
You deal with me from the first look to the finished slab, and you get straight answers, even when the answer is a smaller job.
Time spent under the slab
We dig out and pack the subgrade, the ground your slab sits on, because a base that's only raked level settles and takes the concrete with it.
Cracks talked about first
Before the pour I walk you through where the control joints go, the cuts that tell the slab where to crack, because some cracking in concrete is normal.
Drainage checked before forms
Before we set forms I check where water runs on your lot, because a slab that falls toward the house sends rain right at your foundation.

Concrete work we do in Lewiston, ID
Lewiston Concrete handles 16 kinds of concrete work in Lewiston, ID and the cities around it. Most of it is flatwork, the driveways, patios, walks and floors that lie flat on the ground, with foundations and small commercial jobs too. What moves the price is the size and thickness of the slab, how much digging and base work the ground needs, whether old concrete has to come out and how fancy a finish you want. The schedule turns on the permit question, the weather on pour day and curing, the wait while the slab gains strength before you walk or drive on it. Your written estimate spells out the prep, the mix and the joint layout.
Concrete driveway building
We build new concrete driveways and replace cracked, sinking ones, starting with a dug-out, packed base so the slab has firm ground under your cars.
Learn moreConcrete patio construction
Want a place for a grill and a table out back? We pour concrete patios sized to your yard and sloped so rain runs away from the house.
Learn moreStamped concrete services
Stamped concrete is pressed with a pattern and colored while it's wet, so your patio or walk looks like stone or brick but goes in as one slab.
Learn moreConcrete sidewalk building
We build concrete walks to the front door, around the house and along the street, with a broom finish, a swept texture that gives your shoes grip.
Learn moreGarage floor concrete
Is your garage floor cracked, sunken or chipping? We tear out the old slab, fix the ground underneath and pour a new floor that drains toward the door.
Learn moreDecorative concrete
Decorative concrete covers color, exposed stone and custom borders on patios, walks and steps, for homeowners who want more than gray without giving up a solid slab.
Learn moreConcrete retaining walls
Our crew pours concrete retaining walls that hold back a slope and give you level ground for a yard, a driveway or a garden bed.
Learn moreConcrete floor installation
Interior concrete floors for basements, shops and commercial spaces, finished smooth for a floor covering or left as a hard working surface you can use as is.
Learn moreConcrete pool decks
Building a pool or redoing the deck around one? We pour decks with a textured top for wet feet and a slope that drains splash water away.
Learn moreConcrete steps construction
Concrete steps for porches, back doors and sloped yards get formed with even rises, so they're easy on the knees and easy to climb in the dark.
Learn moreSlab foundation building
What's a slab foundation? It's one reinforced pour that a garage, shop or house sits on, and we prep the ground under it before any steel goes in.
Learn moreFoundation installation
For new homes, additions and outbuildings, we form and pour foundation walls on solid footings, set to the plans so the framing starts square and level.
Learn moreConcrete parking lot building
Business and property owners call us for concrete parking lots and pads, built thick enough for daily traffic and graded so water doesn't pool.
Learn moreConcrete footings
Footings are the wide concrete base under a wall, a post or a deck, and we dig and pour them so the weight above spreads into firm ground.
Learn moreFoundation raising
If part of your house has dropped and doors stick or cracks keep opening, we raise and support the foundation to bring it back toward level.
Learn moreConcrete cutting
Need a doorway in a basement wall, a trench through a slab or a damaged section taken out? Our crew saws concrete clean so the rest stays sound.

Serving Lewiston and both sides of the line
Lewiston Concrete is based in Lewiston, Idaho, and we work on both sides of the state line, in cities like Clarkston, WA and Pullman, WA. The 6 areas below have their own pages, but they aren't the only places we go, so if you're not sure we come out your way, just ask.
How a concrete job goes with us
Call or message us
Call (208) 848-5044 or send a message through our contact form with a few lines about the job, whether it's a new patio, a sinking walk or a foundation for a shop. We reply to calls and messages within one business day and set a time for me to come out.
I look at the site
I come out myself, walk the site with you and talk through what you want. I'm looking at the ground, the access for the truck and what's under any old concrete. Then I send a free written estimate that spells out the prep, the mix and the joint layout, with no pressure to book.
Permit and pour date
When you're ready, we check with the city or county office that covers your address and tell you what they said. If a permit is needed, we handle the application and work through the inspections with you. Then we pick a pour date with the weather in mind.
Pour, finish and cure
I'm on site running the crew when we form, pour and finish, so the person who wrote your estimate is the one making the calls. Once the surface is done, curing starts, and I stay with the job through it and tell you when the slab is ready for feet and when it's ready for cars.
Concrete questions we hear most
These are the questions people ask me before they hire us, cracks and permits included. If yours isn't here, ask about your own job and I'll give you a straight answer.
How much does concrete work cost in Lewiston, ID?
It depends on your site and the job, so I only give a number after I've seen it in person. The work under the slab, how much old concrete comes out and the finish you pick all change it, and you'll see the prep spelled out in your written estimate.
Why is one concrete quote so much cheaper than another?
Usually the cheaper quote skimps on the base, the dug-out and packed ground under the slab that nobody sees once it's poured. Raking dirt level saves money on day one, but that slab tends to settle and crack with the ground under it. If the budget's tight, I'd rather trim the size or the finish than the prep.
How long until I can drive on my new concrete driveway?
You'll be off it for the tear-out and the pour, then through curing, and the wait to drive on it runs longer than the wait to walk on it. Weather and the mix change those times, so I'll tell you both for your slab before we pour, and we'll plan around how you get in and out.
Do I need a permit for a concrete driveway or patio in Lewiston, ID?
It depends on the work and your address, and that's the city's call, not ours. In Lewiston, building permits come from the city's Building Services, and any curb, gutter or public sidewalk work, new or replacement, needs a right-of-way permit. We check with the office for your address before work starts, and you can also ask the city yourself at 208-746-1318, option 1.
What happens on the day you pour my concrete?
Pour day is about placing, leveling and finishing the concrete while it's still workable, since the base and forms are already done by then. We start early when we can, because concrete poured in midday heat can dry too fast on top and end up weak and dusty. Then the control joints go in and curing begins.
What if my new concrete cracks after the job is done?
Call us and tell us what you're seeing, because some cracking is normal and some isn't. A thin crack along a control joint is the slab breaking where we planned, while sinking, a widening crack or a flaking top deserves a closer look. We put one promise on our work. Your satisfaction, guaranteed.
Does a concrete driveway need rebar?
It depends on the slab, the ground and what will sit on it, and I'll tell you at the estimate what goes inside yours. Rebar, the steel bars set in the concrete, doesn't stop cracks, but it holds the pieces together so a crack stays tight instead of shifting.
Does a concrete contractor have to be registered in Idaho?
Yes, Idaho's contractors board says anyone working a construction job over $2,000 in materials and labor has to register unless they're exempt. One exemption is an owner doing their own work on their own land with no plan to sell within 12 months. On home jobs over $2,000, the state also requires the general contractor to give you a disclosure statement before the contract and keep a receipt you've signed.
